The folk process (primarily the Boston folks, I think) have made a small change in the instructions for this dance that also improves the flow in a very nice way:         Going into A2 (5-6), have everyone face down for a moment.   Then the first couple leads down (as originally prescribed) and the second couple casts up to join a new couple in a line of four.         This is what I would have said if I had thought of it.   I think it is a pleasant improvement.
